Modern: Aggro strategies dominate fast format.
Analysis from August 13, 2025

Modern's still a brawl, folks. We're seeing a format that's fast, furious, and leaning heavily into aggro strategies. The meta's not broken, but it's definitely got a few frontrunners dictating the pace.

Looking at the numbers, we've got a solid Final Health Index of 67.5. Metagame Diversity is decent at 75, and Archetype Distribution looks healthy at 90.7. Event Growth is a strong 85.7, but player numbers are slipping (24.8). The B&R Health Score is a respectable 80, signaling that the format is self-correcting through player adaptation and new card innovations.

Boros Aggro is the king of the hill, sitting at 14.4%. Death and Taxes is close behind at 13%. Affinity hangs in there at 7%, neck and neck with 4/5c Aggro. UR Aggro still makes a showing, but the meta’s definitely slanted towards smashing face. Aggro as a super-archetype makes up over 53%, significantly more than the five-year average.

The Reddit hive mind is buzzing about Rakdos Evoke and, predictably, Orcish Bowmasters. Players are dissecting builds, sideboarding tips, and trying to find answers. Amulet Titan is making a comeback, and folks are brewing up new takes on Jeskai Control to adapt to the meta. Grief, as always, is a hot topic, and everyone’s watching card prices like hawks, waiting for reprints to shake things up. No B&R changes this week, and the AI says it’s a good thing, expecting continued diversity. The community is split; some love the chaos, others want more balance, but everyone's still grinding.
